The handle material is Vintage Butterscotch Linen with a single black line. Made from sheets of linen, presses and hardened in Phenolic Resin. These materials were created and used in war times as a substitute for steel and is also widely used in the electrical Industry. This material is rare and makes this seam ripper very unique.
Seam Rippers are functional tools in the seamstress or Leatherworkers tool box. Typically used to rip out seams, cut button-holes or open seams. Most commercially available Seam Rippers are small, cheaply made and flimsy and often times cant do the job you ask it too. Our Seam Rippers come with 2 different sized steel cutting blades (Small & Large) so you can be sure you have the right tool when you need it. Seam ripper ends pull out from the handle and can be rotated and reinserted to hold the tool in the handle for complete control. Handles are a great size for all hands and are shaped with Ergonomics in mind. Great for those who suffer from Arthritis or hand fatigue.
